I'm based in Edmonton, Alberta but originally from Kanata, Ontario. My favourite thing to sew are Plushies and Adult Animal Sweaters. I've been sewing all my life. My mom taught me how to sew at a young age but I'm a self taught professional. My favourite sewing experience was turning a red Victorian paper doll dress into a wedding dress. And fun fact, I'm a paper and pen Roll Playing and Video Gamer Chick.

I’m a professional seamstress based in Edmonton, Alberta. I've been in the sewing profession for over three years. I've worked with a diverse pool of companies and I've learned to produce a wide variety of commodities, ranging from winter parkas at Canada Goose to furniture upholstery to industrial insulation at Norseman. Outside of work, I find sewing to be a relaxing hobby. I’ve enjoyed sewing since I was very little, eagerly learning from my mother to make garments for my family. Over the years, sewing has become a major creative outlet, allowing me to express myself in wearable pieces of art. Having personally seen the waste in industrial garment production, I am very excited to work with Briggs and Last Shot Apparel in their mission to reduce waste in this industry.

I'm proud to call Fort McMurray my hometown, but have recently moved to the Edmonton area and I’m loving this new experience. Sewing has always been a part of my life. I would watch my mom for hours cutting out patterns & sewing all our clothes. At 4 yrs old she left me to create & make whatever my heart desired from her scraps. I love to quilt and give homemade gifts. Fun fact I hated shopping for fabric as a child.

I recently arrived in Canada from the Ukraine.
I love to sew anything, but my passion is to sew women’s dresses. My love of sewing developed from a young age. I always admired my mother, a talented seamstress, who worked in a large industrial sewing workplace. One day I went with her to work and she gave me a piece of fabric to practice using a sewing machine, but I broke the needle and did the same with a few other machines, causing the foreman to scold me. However, I did not give up that day, as my mother encouraged me to continue to practice, and I have now worked in the sewing industry for 20 years. During my career as a seamstress, one customer experience stands out as a highlight. Ten years ago, a woman ordered two dresses from a fashion atelier but they failed to tailor them correctly. In a panic, I was contacted to see if I could restyle the dresses to save them from ruin as they were for a special event. Listening to her specifications, and with her confidence in my skills, I was able to create a luxurious dress for her 50th birthday event. This woman then became a regular and valued customer, even when she moved to another city in eastern Ukraine.
